a privately held company in Cupertino, California, announces a Bluetooth
hands free car kit reference design, CarBlueTM, with its FM1073. CarBlueTM
will be demonstrated at Cebit Show (in Hannover, Germany), Hall 12
Stand D26-2, Mar.12-19.
The FM1073 is a new generation device designed to set a new cost
effective standard for the more advanced hands-free applications
demanded in today’s safety oriented and competitive consumer
market.
The acoustic echo cancellation performance of up to 65dB, makes
the FM1073 the best and only choice for the high quality hands-free
car kit which requires a very loud volume of greater than 130dB
with full duplex capability.
FM1073 Major Features:
- AEC (from 52dB to 65dB)
- Noise suppression (13-18dB)
- Full duplex
- Array microphone support
- Handle non-linear echo
- Differential inputs/outputs significantly increase the system
noise immunity.
- Highly integrated (DSP, four A/Ds, two D/As, ROM, and RAM) and
small footprint (48pin LQFP).
- UART, and Codec Host Interface for Bluetooth applications

Fortemedia’s Echo Cancellation Technologies:
Our patent pending AS3NLF (Adaptive Step-Sized, Sub-band Non-Linear
Filter) technologies use a combination of NLMS algorithm with adaptive
step-size, sub-band process, post filter, and a non-linear processing
engine. This new technology delivers an excellent full duplex capability
while maintaining a very high echo cancellation rate of up to 65dB
during double talk conditions. The non-linear processing engine
identifies and eliminates only the non-linear echo element induced
in the real embedded applications, resulting in significantly increased
flexibility to achieve superior echo performance.
